With all eyes on the British monarchy and King Charles III’s coronation, Railbookers is offering travelers the chance to experience England and Scotland in regal fashion with its 10-day “Royal Tour of Britain” itinerary. The trip begins with a private airport transfer to a four-night stay at a London city center hotel, with many options available to meet the desired accommodation style of the traveler.
Over the next few days, guests can enjoy legendary places like Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, and St. Paul’s Cathedral, as well as memorable experiences like traditional afternoon tea in the lavish Rubens at the Palace. With included sightseeing passes in London, travelers are free to explore as much as they like on their own schedule.
A private tour of Windsor Castle also is included, providing a chance to tour the State Apartments used by members of the royal family and visit St. Georges Chapel, which was the site of Harry and Meghan’s wedding as well as Queen Elizabeth II’s final resting place. That day also includes a tour of King Henry VIII’s former home, Hampton Court Palace. While there, travelers will wander the Great Hall and revel in the splendor of the Tudor Court, visit the vast Tudor kitchen and explore the court’s famous gardens, including The Hampton Court Maze.
The following day features a first-class rail journey to York. A two-night stay allows travelers to explore the historic walled city, home to the medieval English royal House of Plantagenet. They can discover layers of history, and even Queen Victoria’s opulent “palace on wheels” train carriages in the National Railway Museum. Finally, travelers will journey by first-class rail to Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh for a three-night stay that includes fast-track entrances to Edinburgh Castle, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, and the Royal Yacht Britannia, the latter being the former yacht of Queen Elizabeth II.
