Singapore travellers are demonstrating strong demand for high-quality European rail holidays, particularly itineraries through Switzerland, Italy and the Alps, as well as the Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Budapest corridor.

According to Railbookers Group President and CEO Frank Marini, bookings from Singapore average 2.7 passengers, compared with a regional average of 2.2 passengers. Singapore travellers also spend an average of 8.3 nights on a rail holiday.

Although Europe remains the leading destination for Singapore travellers booking rail holidays, Railbookers Group also sees potential for shorter rail journeys within Asia. The company is expanding its Asian portfolio with journeys in Vietnam and Japan, with additional products for Sri Lanka, China and South Korea planned.

Railbookers Group also expects to announce partnerships with Asian river cruise companies, creating itineraries that combine river cruising and rail travel. To increase awareness of its worldwide rail products and the support available to agent partners, the company plans to offer familiarisation trips for travel trade partners and media in 2027.
