Social Content Coordinator

Location: Remote ~ Based in the U.S.
Reports to: Director of Marketing

Job Purpose:

The Social Content Coordinator implements social media and other online communications strategies, tailoring content and engagement toward target audiences on various platforms. This person will assist in the development, implementation and execution of the company’s social media strategy while serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on corporate social accounts. The Social Content Coordinator will create and track metrics of success for content strategy while collaborating across departments to further company goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as day-to-day manager for Railbookers Group social media accounts, with duties to include (but not limited to):

• Develop and maintain a social media content calendar across multiple platforms, driving organic engagement and increased brand awareness
• Monitor, listen and respond to users creating two-way communication and engagement with audiences
• Promote and seek opportunities to grow the Railbookers Group brands in online communities, including paid social media advertising
• Create benchmark criteria to measure the effectiveness of social media programs and implement improvement

• Collaborate across departments to develop high-quality, relevant social content and ensure the voice and brand guidelines are followed

• Stay current with social media technologies and best practices, and when deemed necessary, create, and execute a plan for expanding into new social media platforms

• Assist with other communications efforts as directed by the Communications Manager and senior leadership

• As a member of the Marketing team, assist in various marketing projects in a support role

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of professional social media experience, including content ideation and creation

• Experience managing corporate/organizational accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and TikTok

• Strong project management and organizational skills including the ability to multitask and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal/presentation

• Excellent writing and editing skills with an emphasis on high attention to detail

• Experience with graphic design software (Photoshop, Canva, etc.) and video creation/editing software (preferred)

• Experience gathering, interpreting, and reporting on social media analytics data provided by platforms

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or similar (preferred)

• Previous experience in travel or other leisure-focused industries and/or a passion for travel (preferred)
