Junior Webmaster

Location: Remote ~ Based in the U.S.
Reports to: Webmaster and Marketing Management

Job Purpose:

Assists the Webmaster and the Marketing team with updating and maintaining our websites in order to meet user needs, launch promotions, and attain our company-wide goals. Responsible for updating our sites so they remain customer-focused, attractive, up-to-date, secure, and with a high level of UX satisfaction. In this role, you should be detailed-oriented, highly organized, and an excellent communicator. Balancing a creative eye with an analytical mind is essential. Our Junior Webmaster will test the functionality and efficiency of our web infrastructure and make recommendations to optimize all aspects of the site, ensuring that UX levels are maintained or exceeded.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Determining website needs and requirements based on Analytics and customer trends

• Maintaining, updating, and optimizing web pages on our 9 websites

• Testing and adjusting user-facing websites based on current trends

• Coordinating with web development team, designers, content providers, and management or business owners

• Implementing and ensuring website security and data protection

• Monitoring and analyzing site performance

• Updating website content and reviewing SEO

• Addressing and responding to user comments and complaints

• Test websites across browsers, operating systems, and devices

• Optimize loading speeds and capacity

• Debug pages and fix broken links and/or images

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize the integration of the web channel with other marketing activities such as campaigns, lead capture and nurture, trade shows, events, digital promotions, etc.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of solid web development experience is preferred

• Working knowledge of programming languages and operating systems

• Knowledge of Drupal and WordPress and website management tools

• Strong online marketing and SEO skills with the ability to generate creative ideas

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills

• Proficient in Google Analytics, HotJar, and SEMrush

• Familiarity with web standards and ADA compliance

• Familiarity in HTML/CSS, XML; knowledge of SQL and JavaScript is a plus
